We had some delusional thoughts of coming home to some good news on the adoption front but they were just that......delusional! We heard from our agency today not to expect to hear any update on our case for 8 to 12 weeks. With all of the changes in PGN, the newly appointed officials want to double check everything including interviewing all of the birth mothers again. There are between 2500 and 3000 cases in PGN right now that, we are told ,are going to be reviewed again from the beginning. PGN officials have stated this will take one month, but our agency is being realistic and estimating 8 to 12 weeks. Not the uplifting news I was looking for, but the news we got just the same.
We are joining families who have designated this Friday as prayer day for the children in Guatemala. Please join us in praying for a quick resolution to the latest delays in the process and an end to the political turmoil that is keeping so many children from being united with their forever families.
Bye for now!

Pam,
I am so sorry you came home to sad news and I just can not even imagine how hard it must have been to come home with out your beautiful Nola! I am praying.

Praying for miracles to happen! Praying for strength for all the families and praying all the babies! Our God is mighty and He can do all things!!!
I know your heart is aching without sweet, sweet Nola. I am praying that this is all over soon and you will be with your precious baby soon!
Speaking God's Word for you daily and all the families in this PGN circumstance. Dont you forget that God is bigger...this will all come to pass, sooner than later. I can only imagine how much your heart must be hurting. I was not allowed to do a second visit trip, after being with Bella on our pick up trip, I dont know how any family hands their children back over. "He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world". Always praying for you....Susie
p.s. That Nola is just precious. I so love all that hair and sweet little face. Oh how you must have munched those cheeks!
Glad you are home safely.. Nola is perfect just as we all suspected... Hope PGN gets started again really soon.. Hang in there.
